The following letter arrived this morning with the post:
I need time to process my response.
Nevertheless, I am glad to report that there still is some law applied in the UK.
Thank God for that xxxxxxxx
Hey. Easier said than done, I know, but please don’t feel guilty. I felt the same recently when I got a decision in my favour. Guilt at avoiding the repetition of insomnia, anxiety and depression awaiting the drawn-out inhumane reassessment process. It’s akin to survivor’s guilt. Guilt that you’re the “lucky” one avoiding what nearly sent you over the edge last time round! Yet the raw wound reminds that others have fallen and more will fail to navigate the destructive maze.
I’m so glad you are still here, Wounded Warrioress! I’ve just been catching up with your posts and you are providing a fantastic blog here and doing great activism despite your own pain – what a great contribution. Next time you feel that guilt visualise yourself surrounded by mirrors and reflect it right back to those negative devoid souls that should be feeling it, the creators of the Misery Factory.
My very best wishes to you.
Wow, Jane. That’s the second loveliest compliment I’ve ever received and it is as beautiful as the first!

Thank you so much!

God, I know that guilt too. It’s a toughie.
